Transforms Website Grant Programme is Open

It is that time of year again when Transform open up their website grants programme, allowing charities with online projects to bid for significant grants to support their goals.

The programme has previously made millions of pounds of donations to charities.  Many of the grants have a much wider reach because the online projects become a source of much greater income for the charity concerned.  This is a key element of Transforms aims, they believe that their impact creates a cascade of more money and impact for the causes that they work with..

While typically grants are made to charities with an income in the hundreds of thousands, there is o strict criteria on income and any size community project can bid.

Grants are made of £18,000 to cover the full spectrum of online development for your project.  This can include the scoping, design, build and launch.  The grant required the bidding charity to cover the costs of the project beyond the launch for up to twelve months.

Favourable characteristics of a grant bid may include:

• Developments and applications that can be shared beyond the bidding charity.
• Those bids actively backed by the senior figures at the charity who remain engaged in ensuring the project is successful
• Bids matched by appropriate technical experience within the charity
