In June 2022, Her Majesty The Queen will have reigned for 70 years and will be the first British Monarch to celebrate a platinum jubilee. To mark this special occasion, which will take place on Thursday 2nd June to Sunday 5th June 2022, community events will likely be popular across the UK.
After two years of restrictions and isolating it is with no doubt that many communities will be out in full force to celebrate this occasion and use the opportunity to fundraise and spread awareness for local charities, non-profit organisations and voluntary groups. We believe this will be a wonderful celebration of bringing people back together and socialising with the community.
These kinds of community events can help promote and support individual and collective wellbeing and work against isolation and loneliness, especially within the older community. There are many ways to celebrate this occasion including street parties, carnivals, afternoon teas, village fates and others.
We have created a page to support not-for-profit organisations to organise a safe event and obtain the most appropriate insurance for this kind of event. If you are wanting to bring your community together by creating a safe and fun event that will be remembered for years to come this is your one stop shop.
