Support Groups

Across the UK, thousands of support groups exist providing invaluable community help to people, often in difficult times.

The trustees of any support group need to consider their insurance needs but how do you know what support group insurance you should buy?  At Ladbrook, we work with over a thousand small voluntary and community groups and can help advise you on the various cover sections available and which are appropriate for your support group. for some groups, simple public liaiblity cover might be appropriate but groups involved with very vulnerable service users that might be at risk of allegations of professional negligence might need to consider further cover for their group.

Support groups provide essential peer to peer support and often get involved in fundraising activities for medical or other causes.  We would be delighted to discuss your activities and the relevant support group insurance.

Customer Reviews

Charlotte has handled our insurance renewals for nine years now.  As a new Charity taking over a Community Library in 2015, it was scary navigating through compliance matter such as insurance.  Charlotte steered and helped us through in those early days and has been with us ever since.  She is always available; always responds in a timely manner and we never feel any question or query is silly.  She is a reassuring presence in our Operation.  We feel she goes the extra mile to understand our ever increasing financial and regulatory pressures of an entirely volunteer led Charity.

Friends of Wandon Recreation Park found representatives of Ladbrook Insurance to be very professional, but at the same time extremely helpful and took time in understanding what our insurance needs were and the best policy for us. We would highly recommend Ladbroke Insurance.

What a delight to work with Tim and his team. Totally professional, they responded rapidly to an urgent insurance requirement for our club after our previous insurers let us down badly. Tim took a real interest in what we do and came up with an ideal policy at a great price in record time. Thank you!

Support Groups Insurance

For many support groups, the activities are fairly consistent and straight forward.  The purpose is peer to peer support and so many of our clients meet regularly, often at a third party premises that might require public liability insurance.

We have helped advise many groups including;

  • Cancer support groups
  • Mental health support
  • Dementia support
  • General peer to peer support
  • Bereavement support groups
  • Narcotics anonymous

We would always recommend that your peer to peer group insures not just for public liability but also employers liability too.  This is because in the eyes of most insurers, volunteers for the group are treated as employers in the policy wording.

For many support groups we organise insurance cover for small amounts of equipment that they might keep, such as laptops, projectors or other items.

Get in touch if you would like to discuss the support group insurance you might need.
