For first time parents or anyone who might be feeling isolated after the birth of a child, these groups can be great way to get back out into your community, meet other people and get a bit of support from like-minded people. We would be happy to help you find the right cover for your parent and toddler group so that you can help your local community.
Parent and Toddler Group Insurance
Most mother and toddler groups or parental support groups meet in hired premises, whether it be a community centre, tesco community room or library. Often the hiring party (e.g. the community centre) will ask that parent and toddler group insurance is in place before they let the group use their facility.
The reason that hirers are keen for parent groups to have insurance is that it offers protection to both the hiring facility and the sertvice users of members of the mother and toddler group.
For example, if someone was hurt at one of the sessions and made an allegation that it was the fault of the group, then it might be that the public liability insurance arranged by the group would defend the group and ultimately compensate the individual for their injuries.
As well as injury, claims by third parties might be bought for damage to property. For example, the hiring premises might allege that the group has damaged the premises by their actions and therefore seek compensation for the damage to the property.
