Parent and Toddler Groups

If you run a group as a small business, I am afraid we do not have appropriate products for you. We are a specialist in working with non profit and charitable groups.

Parent and Toddler Group Insurance – Across the UK, thousands of parent and toddler groups provide a highly valued service to local communities.

Parent and toddler insurance is a good dea for groups holding informal sessions that are arranged to bring parents and children together in the local community. The opportunity for parents to come together provides a great social benefit to both themselves and their children therefore building important life skills.

Liability insurance for parent and toddler groups is normally fairly straight forward. your group may need to rent a room in a public building is usually the first insurance requirement that the group comes across. During the process for obtaining a quotation for your parent and toddler group, we would ask whether the group has a safeguarding policy in force as this is a key governance priority for all charities/community groups. For further information on Safeguarding, please see our blog on this subject here.

At Ladbrook, we are an advisory broker and can help talk you through the process no matter how simple or complex your needs may be. You will also be assigned your own individual Account Handler so that you will deal with the same person for your queries and that person will gain an overall understanding of your group.

Typical Risks

  • Claims against the club regarding allegations of injury or harm to children, staff or volunteers
  • Damage to property or assets which your parent and toddler group owns or happen to be responsible for

Customer Reviews

Charlotte has handled our insurance renewals for nine years now.  As a new Charity taking over a Community Library in 2015, it was scary navigating through compliance matter such as insurance.  Charlotte steered and helped us through in those early days and has been with us ever since.  She is always available; always responds in a timely manner and we never feel any question or query is silly.  She is a reassuring presence in our Operation.  We feel she goes the extra mile to understand our ever increasing financial and regulatory pressures of an entirely volunteer led Charity.

Friends of Wandon Recreation Park found representatives of Ladbrook Insurance to be very professional, but at the same time extremely helpful and took time in understanding what our insurance needs were and the best policy for us. We would highly recommend Ladbroke Insurance.

What a delight to work with Tim and his team. Totally professional, they responded rapidly to an urgent insurance requirement for our club after our previous insurers let us down badly. Tim took a real interest in what we do and came up with an ideal policy at a great price in record time. Thank you!

Parent and Toddler Group Insurance

Most mother and toddler groups or parental support groups meet in hired premises, whether it be a community centre, tesco community room or library. Often the hiring party (e.g. the community centre) will ask that parent and toddler group insurance is in place before they let the group use their facility.

The reason that hirers are keen for parent groups to have insurance is that it offers protection to both the hiring facility and the sertvice users of members of the mother and toddler group.

For example, if someone was hurt at one of the sessions and made an allegation that it was the fault of the group, then it might be that the public liability insurance arranged by the group would defend the group and ultimately compensate the individual for their injuries.

As well as injury, claims by third parties might be bought for damage to property. For example, the hiring premises might allege that the group has damaged the premises by their actions and therefore seek compensation for the damage to the property.
