Typical Risks

  • Public and Employers Liability Insurance is a must for any Voluntary Action Group
  • Many Voluntary Action Groups will be involved in discharging professional services such as HR advice, accounts support or bid writing services – For these groups, robust Professional Indemnity Insurance is very important
  • We are able to support VA / CVS groups not just with expert help on their own insurances but by providing resources for their members too.  Feedback on our training courses is always strong.

Voluntary Action Groups

Voluntary Action Group Insurance – VA Groups and Councils for Voluntary Service aim to provide help, advice, training and support to their local third sector groups.

At Ladbrook, we work with a large number of such groups, advising them on their own insurances and in some instances, providing useful resources for their member groups too.  We provide independent broking advice working with 40 different insurers.

While the aims of each Voluntary Action Group might be similar, often the services provided differ.  Some provide HR, bid writing or accountancy support for which professional indemnity insurance is a must.  Others provide training and events for their members and nearly all act as a facilities manager.

We would be delighted to talk to any VA / CVS group about how our experience of providing insurance for voluntary action groups can be of value to you.

Customer Reviews

Charlotte has handled our insurance renewals for nine years now.  As a new Charity taking over a Community Library in 2015, it was scary navigating through compliance matter such as insurance.  Charlotte steered and helped us through in those early days and has been with us ever since.  She is always available; always responds in a timely manner and we never feel any question or query is silly.  She is a reassuring presence in our Operation.  We feel she goes the extra mile to understand our ever increasing financial and regulatory pressures of an entirely volunteer led Charity.

Friends of Wandon Recreation Park found representatives of Ladbrook Insurance to be very professional, but at the same time extremely helpful and took time in understanding what our insurance needs were and the best policy for us. We would highly recommend Ladbroke Insurance.

What a delight to work with Tim and his team. Totally professional, they responded rapidly to an urgent insurance requirement for our club after our previous insurers let us down badly. Tim took a real interest in what we do and came up with an ideal policy at a great price in record time. Thank you!

Voluntary Action Group Insurance

At Ladbrook we understand the pressures a VA Group faces.  Increasing demands for services delivered locally means that memebrs of VA / CVS groups are under increasing pressure.  Yet, at the same time, cuts to local authority and other funding sources have meant that VA / CVS groups have had to work extremely hard to provide the invaluable support locally.

For many community groups, their local Voluntary Action Group is the source of much of the professional advice that they need.  Whether they wand to network, get advice on their structure, support around their governance, accountancy, HR or bid writing – VA’s around the country are providing incredible support for local groups that want to make a difference in their community.

At Ladbrook we have provided voluntary action group insurance for a wide range of organisations across the UK.  Our advice will cover the Public and Employers Liability essential for each group but we will conduct a full review of the risks your group faces, paying particular attention to the Professional Indemnity requirements and then use our access to leading charity insurance products to source competitive cover that gives your group peace of mind.

In addition, we have deepened our relationship with a number of VA and CVS groups to support them with a range of activities.  We have produced materials that have been of use for groups, sponsored events, provided training sessions on risk management or elements of insurance and generally engaged in any useful way required.

We would be delighted to hear from your CVS / VA group.
