Community Cinema Insurance

We can offer advice on the right community cinema insurance policies for your group.

In some cases hiring venues may insist on higher levels of public liability insurance for your cinema, we can help advise you and meet the requirements of your venue.

We would normally recommend Employer Liability cover to cinemas too. Although we understand that this might seem odd to a volunteer cinema, yet the volunteers would be classed as employees under most insurance policies that we see. Hence, if a volunteer made an allegation against the group, you would require this cover to defend you and meet any subsequent compensation payments.

If your community cinema is planning any events, whether it be fundraising or perhaps an outdoor performance, we can help advise on these matters. Normally we can extend the existing policy to incorporate such things but we will advise groups on an individual basis.

You will also have equipment that you may wish to insure. We will seek to provide cover for your projector and equipment on an all risks basis. This is important because if your vital equipment was accidentally damaged or stolen (with no forced entry to the property) then you would still want to be able to replace those items.
